SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A fortnight of houses have had to be evicted late in the afternoon this Saturday due to a forest fire that started near the fairgrounds, in the Pinolere area of the municipality of La Orotava (Tenerife).
According to the Cabildo, the Brifor, Tenerife Firefighters and Environment personnel have come to the place, as well as members of the Civil Guard, Local Police and Civil Protection to collaborate in the device deployed to quell the flames.
In addition, 112 Canary Islands media from other islands have been requested from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) and the Red Cross has been activated preventively.
From the outset, the aerial media have been acting in the area to quell the fire, which has two sources, although the second of them has decreased in intensity due to the work of the extinguishing teams.
