Two domestic workers arrested for stealing jewelry in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna worth almost 10,000 euros

The National Police has detained two women aged 49 and 45, the first with a police record, as alleged perpetrators of two crimes of theft committed by taking jewelry from the homes where they worked as domestic servants.

The events began when the National Police investigators received in their offices in the capital of Tenerife and La Laguna complaints regarding the theft of jewelry from the interior of two homes, valued at 6,000 and 3,000 euros, respectively.

In both cases, according to the statements of the complainants, the circumstances that occurred seemed to point to the domestic workers.

Based on these demonstrations, the investigation of the National Police focused on these people.

Thus, the agents managed to locate several sales operations carried out by them in different houses of purchase and sale of valuable objects.

Of all the lots of jewelry that had been sold, after being exhibited photographically, several were recognized as their own by the complainants.

The agents then proceeded to arrest the domestic workers and handed over to the injured woman in the capital of Tenerife a lot of jewelry worth more than 900 euros.

The rest of the jewels could not be recovered as they were sold by the detainees.

The actions have been carried out by national police officers from the Investigation Group of the National Police Station of the North District of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the National Police Station of La Laguna.
