The spokesman for the Canary Coalition in Tegueste, Juan Norberto Padilla, affirms that “he does not understand how, from the Youth Council of the City Council, as is being done in the rest of the municipalities, alternatives have not been proposed in the search for nearby initiatives, active and secure, that are close to the demands of the youth of Tegues, and, thus, not lose the common thread in which they have been working ».
The mayor also denounces that, “in such an abnormal, complex and uncertain social scenario, a planned and constant work that seeks the necessary alternatives to bring initiatives, information, and initiatives to the young population of Tegueste is even more necessary and vital. courses, training, alternative leisure activities, counseling…, without forgetting the transversal work of social action and promotion of gender equality, always aimed at active youth participation ».
This situation, «warned by us in several plenary sessions since March 2020, has left the adolescents and young people of the municipality as one of the great forgotten of the current rulers of the Villa, without resources or activities, so important for these groups that make up the basis for the future of our people, ”criticizes Padilla.
