SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands, based on the meteorological forecast and in application of the Infoca (Special Plan for Civil Protection and Attention to Emergencies due to Forest Fires of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands) has expanded the alert statement for forest fires on the islands of La Gomera and El Hierro – Gran Canaria already was.
Temperatures can reach up to 35ºC, especially in the midlands and high areas facing south and west.
