Companies

The convocation of direct subsidies to alleviate the effects of the crisis It is aimed at the self-employed and micro-companies that act under the legal forms of communities of assets, civil companies, other entities without their own legal personality of a commercial nature, limited liability companies under any of the possible formulas and public limited companies. In order to be considered a micro-business, it is necessary, among other requirements, not to exceed two million euros in annual turnover or the eleven “effective”.

“All economic activities” are considered eligible, although exceptions are made. This is the case of those in the field of energy and water, the extraction and transformation of non-energy minerals and derived products, the metal transformation industry and precision mechanics, construction … It should be noted that, for each autonomous or entity applicant, the amount is 1,500 euros. To this amount an amount of another 500 will be added for each employee that the self-employed person or company under his / her responsibility has, up to a maximum of ten salaried workers and, therefore, a ceiling of 6,500 euros.

It is the third direct grant promoted by the insular institution with this destination since May of last year. The first was endowed with two million and the second with 3.5. To this must be added the 4.3 of the specific ones to reactivate employment aimed at entities with less than ten workers who have recovered their ERTE staff. The global of the four initiatives was 18.8 million euros.

At the beginning of last August, and coinciding with the approval of the aid by the Insular Government Council, the president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martin (PSOE), pointed out that “this endowment aims to help deal with situations of lack of liquidity to small companies and self-employed workers derived from months of inactivity or systematic reduction in income.”

Students

The scholarships and study aid corresponding to the academic year 2021-2022 They have a different application period depending on the modality in question, as published in the Official Gazette of the Province. The total amount that is allocated to the calls for scholarships and study aid is 8,177,619 euros, “which may be extended depending on budget availability during the year 2022,” the Tenerife institution reported yesterday through a note press.

«Specifically, the deadline for apply for general scholarships for university studies, those of artistic studies, those of Vocational Training studies and those aimed at students with special educational needs, “said the Cabildo.

The insular counselor for Education and Youth, Concepción Rivero, explained that the maximum amounts are from 1,200 euros for students with special educational needs to 6,500 for university students, of artistic studies and Vocational Training, and added that these scholarships have as main objective “to prevent young people from abandoning their studies due to lack of economic resources in their families.”

In this course, as a novelty, the processing of scholarships for university studies is simplified and it is carried out exclusively by telematic means, through the electronic headquarters of the Cabildo. The remaining lines can be requested both electronically and on paper by entry register. For more information, you can consult the guidance guide posted on the web catalogocabildoeduca.es/becas.

The insular director of Education and Youth, Isabel Bello, pointed out that the Tenerife corporation will try to help “as many families as possible and make payments as quickly as possible so that, in the shortest time, they have the subsidy” . The highest amount will be allocated this course to university study scholarships, with a total of 3,375,000 euros, followed by those aimed at students with special educational needs, in which the Cabildo invests 1,132,369 euros.

For their part, aid for artistic studies and vocational training studies are endowed with 160,000 and 196,000 euros, respectively. The rest will be to finance the grants related to language immersion programs. The scholarships for students with special needs, whose deadline for submitting applications will end on January 31, 2022, provide a maximum amount per person of 1,200 euros and are aimed at students between the ages of two and 20.

The grants for people who are studying artistic studies, including training internships or Erasmus + outside the island, are capped at 6,500 euros and the deadline for submitting applications will be open until November 10. In the case of scholarships for university studies, be they general, undergraduate, master’s, doctorate, those complementary to the Erasmus program and those for transport aid outside the Island, they will be for studies that are carried out entirely in person and Applicants will have until November 10 to apply for them.

The deadline to apply for scholarships for Vocational Training studies, including training internships and a complement to the Erasmus + program, will end on November 10 and the maximum amount is 6,500 euros.

Another outstanding aspect is that, in general, the requirements for obtaining the aid are to have habitual residence in Tenerife, family income per person not exceeding 20,000 euros (10,000 in the case of students with special educational needs), enrollment for a number of credits or subjects equivalent to a full course.
