Almost 4 hectares of the Teide National Park have been burned this Monday by a forest fire. The Cabildo de Tenerife alerted this afternoon that an attempt had been declared at kilometer 44 of the TF-21 highway. Workers from the National Park and resources from the Forest Brigades traveled to the place.
The island corporation has indicated that the fire is now stabilized and that it has affected 3.8 hectares of grass, cajonera, broom and rosebush of the summit. At this time, ground and air assets (the Kamov helicopter) are still on the ground.
