SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Action of the Government of the Canary Islands, Juan Rafael Zamora, begins a two-week trip this Wednesday (the second he has scheduled in this legislature, marked by the COVID-19 pandemic) to various areas of Venezuela to supervise the management of the economic, food and health aid that the Regional Executive has already resolved this year for the benefit of the Canaries and their descendants.
The lines of aid to canaries in Venezuela for this 2021, which are developed and financed by the regional government, have 450,000 euros more than in 2020, with a total of 1.95 million (23% increase compared to the previous year).
This budget is managed in part through an agreement with the Fundación España Salud (one million euros of those almost two) and also contemplates 700,000 euros for expenses through food cards and 250,000 to facilitate the purchase of medicines.
According to the forecasts of the area directed by Juan Rafael Zamora, health aids will reach 725 more beneficiaries in the group of people over 65 years of age, going from 845 to 1,570, while those related to medicines are estimated to go from 1,800 recipients to 2,240 .
People of various age groups who access subsidies for the purchase of food will rise from 3,000 to 3,365.
Juan Rafael Zamora will begin his itinerary in the State of Vargas, in the company of the delegate of the Government of the Canary Islands in Caracas, José William Montesdeoca.
Thus, on Friday he will meet with the Canarian entities of Venezuela at the Hogar Canario Venezolano in Caracas and, already in the afternoon, the management of food and medicine cards is contemplated at the same headquarters of the Delegation of the Government of the Canary Islands.
This action will continue during the morning and afternoon of Saturday and Sunday in the Delegation, a task that will continue on Monday morning, this time during the afternoon and at the headquarters of the Union of the Canary Islands of Venezuela.
On Tuesday, September 14, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Action will maintain contact with members of the Nuestra Señora de las Nieves Brotherhood and with the Nuestra Señora de las Nieves Foundation, as well as in the Venezuelan Hispanic Center of the State of Aragua.
On Wednesday he will go to the Centro Hispano del Sombrero (in Mellado-Guárico) and, in the afternoon, he will continue with the supervision of the actions to support the Canarian immigrants at the Casa Canaria de Altagracia de Orituco.
On Thursday, September 16, it will be the turn of the Hogar Hispano de Valencia and the Centro Social y Deportivo Canario Venezolano de San Carlos, while on Friday it will move to the Hogar Canario Venezolano de Coro.
On Saturday September 18 and Sunday September 19, Juan Rafael Zamora will be at the Hogar Hispano de Yaracuy and at the Hogar Canario Larense and will also visit the Canarian Foundation Nuestra Señora de los Reyes.
The Canarian delegation has a visit scheduled for Monday, September 20 in Mérida, together with members of the Canarian Foundation of Mérida Funcamer and in the afternoon, they will go to the Hogar Canario de Mérida.
The management of the grants will conclude on Wednesday at the Spanish Cultural Center Cervantes El Tigre.
