SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Canary Islands has registered a total of 101 new positive cases of coronavirus this Monday, raising the total number since the pandemic began to 92,781, according to the balance that the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands updates every 24 hours.
The archipelago now has 11,969 active cases (-340) after 430 discharges, of which 356 are hospitalized on the ward (+1) and 63 in the ICU (-2).
In addition, three people have died, two in Tenerife and one in Fuerteventura, bringing the total number of deaths to 950.
By islands, Tenerife has added 44 cases in the last 24 hours that increase the accumulated to 44,575, with 7,395 active, and 541 deaths (+2) and Gran Canaria scores 49, with 35,497 accumulated and 4,267 active, plus 323 deaths.
In Lanzarote there have been three new cases that bring the accumulated to 6,633 and the active ones to 64, with 50 deaths; in Fuerteventura, four more positives, with 4,145 accumulated, 219 active and 17 deceased (+1), and 1 in La Palma, in such a way that there are 1,084 accumulated, 12 active and 14 dead.
In La Gomera and El Hierro, no new cases have been registered. Thus, La Gomera has an accumulated of 398 cases, of which seven are active, one has died and 390 have received medical discharge and El Hierro, 448, of which five are active, four have died and 439 have overcome the disease.
The Accumulated Incidence (AI) continues to decline and in 7 days it stands at 44.70 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and for 14 days, at 107.63 cases.
Until this Monday, 12,336 tests have been carried out, with 5.2% positive, and 352 in the last week (+ 1.7%).
