The president and deputy for Tenerife of the Socialist Parliamentary Groupa, the exedil tacorontera Nira Fierro, accuses Canary Coalition of “confusing and alarming without justification” the citizenship regarding the work of the Tacoront Health Centerand; points out that the temporary stoppage of the works “is due to a technical and administrative issue to modify the project and introduce improvements in the electrical installations”, and ensures that the work “will continue after the changes that are expected to be made in the initial project of reform”.
Nira Fierro explains that it is a matter “strictly technical and administrative”, related to the modification of the initial project to improve the electrical installations of the property, and that, therefore, “It is a temporary matter that will be solved shortly”.
The Minister of Health of the Canary Government, Blas Trujillo, has just signed a temporary suspension because to continue with the work it is necessary to draft a modified project, “which must be done by the optional director of the work with the approval of the contract, and thus be able to resume the work,” adds Fierro.
“This is a temporary matter that will be solved shortly”
The socialist deputy reminds nationalists that, in this case, “reality is stranger than fiction”, and that they are trying to “alarm” on a matter that “It occurs in most of the renovation works competitions”.
Fierro recalls that the Tacoronte health center building provides Primary Care services in the Tacoronte-El Sauzal Basic Health Zone, with 30,412 users with Individual Health Card (TSI).
For the deputy, the reform works will mean a substantial improvement for the residents of the municipality, with an increase in the surface of the building by 820 square meters, which represents a growth of 35 percent more, which will allow the installation of a Continuous Attention Point (PAC) in the Health Center, for assistance to the emergencies; a Physiotherapy unit and a Community Mental Health unit, which will serve the population of the municipalities of La Matanza and La Victoria, which represent 15,820 more people with TSI.
