The City Council of Granadilla de Abona has proceeded this Friday afternoon to prohibit bathing, provisionally, in the Leocadio Machado, El Médano, and Los Abrigos beaches, by detecting that the E.coli parameter is higher than allowed.
The detection of this contamination occurs after the submission of the results of the routine analyzes carried out by the company awarded the water analysis service, by the City Council, of the bathing areas.
The consistory has decided to proceed with the closure of these two points of the coast as a precaution and in order to guarantee adequate levels of security for the population, pending the results of the pertinent analyzes in the coming days.
