Agents of the National Police have proceeded to arrest a man and a woman, aged 32 and 33, as alleged perpetrators of five crimes of robbery with force, four of them in churches, in the north of Tenerife.
The detainees allegedly forced the locks on the doors or windows to gain access to the interior of the buildings and stole various effects from the churches and a neighborhood association. Among other objects, they took the contents of the brushes, a guitar, a computer and a television.
The events, committed during the month of August in a specific area of Los Realejos, have been investigated by the National Police, as a result of the complaints filed. The proceedings carried out, as well as the established mechanisms, were successful, since the two alleged perpetrators were identified.
Once the corresponding device had been established, the national police officers managed to locate and subsequently arrest those identified.
However, the recovery of the stolen objects has not been achieved to date, because, according to the Police, they were pawning them to the highest bidder to obtain liquidity that would allow them to satisfy their addictions.
The detainees, together with the reports processed, were made available to the competent judicial authority.
The investigation has been carried out by national police officers from the Puerto de la Cruz-Los Realejos Local Police Station.
