Los Realejos City Council allocates 203,000 euros to the comprehensive rehabilitation of Las Mercedes street, in the La Cruz Santa neighborhood. This project, which is part of the Neighborhood Plan, will include the new supply, lighting and telecommunications networks and the resurfacing and paving of the road. The royal councilor for Contracting, Noelia González (PP), and the councilor for the area of La Cruz Santa, Darío Pérez (PP), announce that the execution of the works will begin today.
The mayor of Realejero, Manuel Domínguez (PP), adds that “the demolition of sections of steel and curbs currently existing for resurfacing, as well as the incorporation in the road of new networks of sanitation, water supply, low voltage, lighting public and telecommunications, the provision of two scuppers to improve the collection and evacuation of rainwater and its subsequent resurfacing ”.
The works are expected to last approximately two months from the start. In addition, there will be various occasional cuts in traffic, although it will try to “ensure that access is always possible to residents whose homes are located on the road.”
According to Darío Pérez, “the intervention in the street is comprehensive, from its intersection with Calle Real until its completion at the junction with Transversal Casa Higa, which will generate inconvenience during the development of the works, but given that this is a demand that It is born from the citizens of the area and transmitted through the corresponding community table, we understand that there will be maximum understanding. Still, we apologize in advance for these inconveniences and possible incidents. ”
The mayor recalls that “as we have been doing with the last works in execution of the Neighborhood Plan, a mailing with an informative letter regarding the project has already been started among the residents, where the work plan, municipal investment, location map, as well as a contact telephone number for possible incidents ».
