The area of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action of the Cabildo of Tenerife has approved the bases and call for a line of subsidies for the start-up of business initiatives, for a total of 210,000 euros, expandable with another 100,000 euros.
“From the Cabildo de Tenerife we continue to structure aid in socio-economic development as the axis for the take-off of the economy, which has been affected by the Covid19 crisis,” said the counselor Carmen Luz Baso in a statement.
Likewise, he added that this line of subsidies is added to the aid to the self-employed and SMEs and to the maintenance of employment “which will allow the launching of business initiatives that revitalize the productive fabric of the island.”
The beneficiary companies will be able to obtain a minimum of 3,500 euros and up to a maximum of 8,000 euros of aid that may be used for company creation expenses and operating expenses.
This subsidy is intended to defray the expenses arising from the start of activity in small companies (SMEs) that generate employment on the island, primarily those of an industrial nature, understood by this concept those that exclusively carry out activities aimed at obtaining, transformation or reuse of industrial products, packaging and packaging, as well as the use, recovery and elimination of waste or by-products, whatever the nature of the resources and technical processes used.
For its part, the deadline for submitting applications will be twenty (20) calendar days To be computed from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
