Two years after the previous one, Tacoronte will celebrate this year the Fiestas del Cristo with face-to-face events. The Local Safety Board met yesterday to discuss the plan and protocol that will regulate the capacity of each scenic space and event that will take place this month. The maximum is established in the Plaza del Cristo is 500 people, the entrance will be free, but previously having a QR code.
Responsible for the Civil Guard, Canary Police, Local Police, the head of Civil Protection and experts in security and emergencies, along with the mayor, José Daniel Díaz, who chaired the meeting, attended the extraordinary session of the Local Security Board. as well as the councilor of the area, Julio Navarro.
During the meeting, Díaz pointed out that this will also be a year marked by the guidelines indicated by the health authorities according to the evolution of the pandemic. The tacorontero alderman revealed that “they will be unusual, modest parties adapted to the times in which we live.”
The acts begin on Sunday, with the reading of the proclamation by the artist and author for more than decades of the Corpus Christi carpet, Juan Fajardo. The bodies involved in the Local Security Board will prepare the plan in the matter adapted to each act programmed by the City Council, which will allow to establish the material and human resources that will be able to collaborate.
This forum also addressed the device that is required to guarantee the integrity of those attending the events, whose central stage will be in the Plaza del Cristo, with controlled capacity. From the specialized companies that will take part in the Fiestas del Cristo de Tacoronte, they transferred to the Local Security Board the needs in terms of personnel and material means, taking into account the special circumstances in which the scheduled events will take place.
The mayor, José Daniel Díaz Armas, advanced that the presentation of the poster and the program of the festivities will take place “shortly”. Likewise, he highlighted the coordination effort required to apply anticovid measures in order to guarantee the well-being of citizens. He stressed that the events will not have a massive character and, at the same time, warned that most of them will conclude around midnight (0:00 hours), “since we intend that the programming ends early, while proposing an offer cultural and recreational for all the tacoronteros », concluded the councilor.
