The Municipal Operational Coordination Center of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council (CECOPAL) has reported the closure of the parking area of the Las Gaviotas beach.
In this case, contrary to the situation that affects other sandy areas in the capital of Tenerife due to the presence of hydrocarbons, access has been limited due to the high occupancy in the space.
So far, bathing is prohibited in the Almáciga and Roque de Las Bodegas beaches after detecting remains of the aforementioned compound both in the water and in the sand.
