The first vice president and Minister of Mobility, Enrique Arriaga, points out in a note that “it is the second installation of these characteristics that is put into operation in the stations and interchanges of the public transport of the island and in the coming months toilets will also be adapted in the Granadilla and Buenavista stations “.
For his part, the insular director of Mobility, José Alberto León, affirms that with this measure it is intended that “people with ostomies, users or not of public transport, know that they have services adapted to their needs at interchanges and stations. needs to enjoy a higher quality of life. ”
The adaptation of the toilet of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Interchange, a key infrastructure for mobility in Tenerife and through which around 14,000 people pass daily, will allow this group to empty their bags in a comfortable, intimate and hygienic way.
This adapted toilet has a special sink with a removable tap, a flush button, an OSMO adapted toilet sign, a soap dispenser, a toilet paper dispenser, an adapted bathroom label, a mirror attached to the wall, a hanger and a container. hygienic.
