SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands confirmed this Monday 141 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 with which the total accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 91,795, with 13,406 active (-177), of which 76 are admitted to ICU ( -3) and 372 remain hospitalized (+3).
In the last hours, the death of five people has been reported: two men, 68 and 51 years old, and a woman 80 years old in Tenerife, and a 91 year old man and a 49 year old woman in Gran Canaria.
All remained in hospital admission and, except for the 68-year-old man, all suffered from previous pathologies.
With these deaths, the archipelago registers a total of 933 deaths since the pandemic began.
The Accumulated Incidence continues to decline and at 7 days it stands at 62.36 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 150.05 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife today adds 84 cases with a total of 44,165 accumulated cases and 8,151 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 35,075 accumulated cases, 38 more than the previous day and 4,860 active.
Lanzarote adds 11 new cases with 6,574 accumulated and 143 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 4,068 accumulated cases with 10 more cases than the previous day and 213 active.
La Palma, by statistical adjustment, subtracts two cases, so its accumulated go to 1,074 accumulated and has 23 active cases; El Hierro does not register new positives, so its accumulated are 446 and its assets are nine.
For its part, La Gomera does not increase its cases, so it remains at 392 accumulated and seven assets.
57 CASES LESS THAN LAST MONDAY
The data reported this Monday represents a decrease of 57 positives compared to last Monday, when 198 new infections were reported. In the last 28 days there has been a continued decline in the number of cases.
Until this Monday, a total of 1,999,817 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 2,723 correspond to yesterday.
