The Cabildo of Tenerife, through the Area of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, will carry out in September the improvement of the rural road of La Represa, in Aguamansa, in the municipality of La Orotava.
The works, which have an investment of 56,496 euros, will act on an agricultural road that has a length of 248 meters and an average width of five meters, and 38 meters at the entrance to the Aguamansa reservoir.
The island councilor explains in a note that “the tread layer is made of asphalt agglomerate and is in very poor condition, deteriorated and with irregularities, and the section that enters the pool is unpaved.”
With this project, you have an execution period of two months, the road surface will be improved, the layout and grade will be rectified, the speed limitations below 40 kilometers per hour (km / h), the drainage system, the improvement in the designs of entry to plots and Two-way traffic will be guaranteed.
The counselor, Javier Parrilla, highlights the commitment of the Cabildo de Tenerife to continue improving rural infrastructures “to facilitate the correct transit to agricultural plots by farmers, and incidentally avoid the abandonment of farms and perpetuate the landscape agricultural characteristic of the place “.
The works will consist mainly of cleaning and clearing the road margins; excavation of junctions, entrances and new ditches, compaction and irrigation of optimum moisture; the construction of mass concrete ditches, scuppers, entrances and junctions in colored concrete; the paving with an asphalt layer of the entire rolling area; the painting and marking of horizontal signs, and the placement of vertical traffic signs.
