The Municipal Operational Coordination Center of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council (CECOPAL) has announced the decision to close the Almáciga beach this Monday.

Several beach users and Red Cross personnel have detected the presence of hydrocarbon remains both in the water and in the sand.

CECOPAL has informed 112 for the corresponding assessment of the coast.
