The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has ordered the closure of Almáciga beach, after users and members of the Red Cross detected hydrocarbons in the water and in the sand.
The capital city council has contacted the 1-1-2 to assess the coast.
ATTENTION: It is decided to close the beach of #Mamster upon detection by @CruzRojaProvTfe and several users the presence of hydrocarbon remains both in the water and in the sand. It is communicated to @ 112canarias for assessment of the coast. @SCMedioAmbiente #BeachesSantaCruz
