The Local Police of Santiago del Teide develops the opposition competition to incorporate eight agents, in which 165 applicants have already been admitted. Three of the eight positions correspond to the public employment offer for the year 2018, while another four come from the accumulation, to said call, of four positions included in the public employment offer for this year (file pending resolution). The eighth is subject to a competition for transfer, according to the municipal government.
Emilio Navarro, mayor of Santiago del Teide, explains that it is an important advance in solving the shortage of agents presented by the Local Police staff, a measure that is necessary to attend all the services entrusted to said security body. “We seek to continue influencing the progressive improvement of human resources of our police, with the consequent improvement of their service and the guarantee of security for the population of Santiago del Teide,” concludes the councilor.
