The ccancer it is one of the diseases with the greatest relevance to public health. The breast, affects 700 people a year in the Canary Islands. A disease that affects women and men, and before which specialists emphasize that maintaining healthy lifestyle habits is the best tool to prevent it.

This is why the Bentor-Santa Úrsula Cycling School has chosen the Breast Cancer Association of Tenerife, LOVE YOURSELF, and to the program Woman in Bike, to organize the IV Tour of Illusion. A cycling march that will roll, on September 5, through the south of the Island.

The President of AMATE, Mari carmen bonfante, explained to DIARIO DE AVISOS, that the tour will have a route of 56.22 kilometers and a duration of four and a half hours. A day in which the participants will leave from Candelaria and end in Granadilla.

An appointment that they live with “great enthusiasm”, since the pandemic has forced the cancellation of many acts. An event attended by 120 people to “make the disease visible and raise awareness of the importance of early detection and its control. Above all, now that COVID has caused many women to postpone their check-ups because they think they were not urgent and for fear of going to hospitals ”.

The minimum age to participate is 15 years old, and registrations can be made, until September 1, at www.amate-tenerife.com.

The basic registration is 15 euros. The one that includes a jersey designed for the event, 50. The proceeds will go to LOVE YOURSELF.
