SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –

A 22-year-old girl was injured this Wednesday with burns to her lower limb and moderate back trauma when the motorcycle she was driving in La Laguna fell and caught fire.

The events took place shortly before 12:15 p.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received several alerts in which it was reported the fall and subsequent fire of a motorcycle in the roundabout of Father Anchieta, and his driver was injured.

The SUC staff assessed and assisted the wound that was transferred to the Canary University Hospital while the Consortium Firefighters put down the fire.

The Civil Guard regulated traffic in the area and instructed the corresponding procedures, the Local Police collaborated with the emergency services and the Insular Highway Center proceeded to clean the road.
