The agricultural road of La Cañada is the object of a paving work within the framework of the plan for the conservation and recovery of rural roads and trails. The company Asfaltos y Obras Tafuriaste has an execution period of two months and a budget of 39,748 euros, financed through the line of subsidies granted by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning of the Government of the Canary Islands to municipalities with areas of influence in National Parks.
The planned actions focus on the access track to agricultural land, as well as its surroundings, with asphalt, improving its traceability and functionality for the use of walkers and agricultural vehicles. The narrow width and the little maneuverability force to widen the margins of the road to improve its conditions.
Juan Felipe Rodríguez, Councilor for Works, emphasizes that “it is intended to promote agricultural activity by improving access to farmland” located on the La Cañada road and recovering the old road that connects Calle Real from the coastal neighborhood of Santa Catalina to the urban area of the municipality.
