Found the corpse of the disappeared bather in the cave of El Tancón, in Tenerife



Specialists from the Special Group of Underwater Activities of the Civil Guard have located the lifeless body of the bather who had been missing since Thursday afternoon in the area of ​​the El Tancón cave, in Santiago del Teide.

At this time, sources from 112 point out, the corresponding proceedings are being carried out.

In the incident, three other bathers in distress were rescued, including a woman in critical condition.

Early this Friday, the search work was resumed, with the participation of a helicopter and a Maritime Rescue boat, as well as members of the Special Group of Underwater Activities (GEAS) of the Civil Guard, of the Emergency and Rescue Group of the Government Canary Islands and firefighters with an inflatable boat

The emergency occurred yesterday in the surroundings of a natural pool on the coast, very frequented by bathers, although their access is prohibited.

The rescue services were mobilized after information was received that four people were in trouble at sea in that part of the coast.

The rescuers managed to recover and land three people. Of them, two with multiple contusions and some symptoms of semi-drowning and the third, a woman, was revived from a cardiorespiratory arrest and taken to the Hospital de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria in critical condition.
