The Cabildo de Tenerife has lowered the prevention measures of forest fires, in line with the relaxation of the alert decreed by the Government of the Canary Islands, which entails the reopening of forest trails.

However, the prohibition of the use of fire, be it barbecues or burning stubble, machinery that could generate sparks or incandescent elements, and pyrotechnic displays.

Thus, the decree of the 12th day, which activated prevention measures of grade 2 and 3, remains invalid.

The Cabildo de Tenerife recommends extreme precautions throughout the island territory with any activity that could generate fires and urges the Forest Management Technical Service to establish the necessary services to address the risk situation.
