The Cabildo de Tenerife has lowered the forest fire prevention measures to level 1, in line with the relaxation of the alert decreed by the Government of the Canary Islands, which entails the reopening of forest trails.
However, the prohibition of the use of fire, be it barbecues or burning of stubble, machinery that could generate sparks or incandescent elements, and pyrotechnic displays is maintained.
Thus, the decree of the 12th day, which activated prevention measures of grade 2 and 3, remains invalid.
The Cabildo de Tenerife recommends taking extreme precautions throughout the island territory with any activity that may generate fires and urges the Technical Service for Forest Management to establish the necessary services to address the risk situation.
