The upper section of Calle Lanzarote – from the intersections with Avenida de Canarias and Calle San Isidro – will be closed to traffic tomorrow for its resurfacing. Therefore, the lower section of La Palma street as only upward direction, to get to San Isidro street.
With a cost of 82,390 euros, the Councilor for Public Works of Los Realejos, José Andrés Pérez, indicated that “it is planned to act on an area of 1,972 square meters.” Taking into account that “the state of deterioration of the road pavement is evident”, he explains that “the intervention will be used to execute a new water supply network and to provide a new scupper for the crossing with Calle San Isidro “, a performance that aims to”solve and improve stormwater evacuation».
The work includes milling the asphalt and enhancing the covers of the networks, to later apply the new pavement and undertake the painting of the precise horizontal marking. Likewise, the pavement of the current sidewalks will be demolished to place the water supply network and the new steel, of hydraulic tile.
