SAN SEBASTIÁN DE LA GOMERA, Aug 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 57-year-old woman has been moderately injured after suffering a fall on a trail in Alajeró, on the island of La Gomera, as reported by the 112 Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of the Canary Islands.
The events occurred at around 11:49 am on the Cruce de Los Pajaritos trail to the Altos de Garajonay in the aforementioned municipality, a place to which troops from the Garajonay National Park, Civil Protection and Anaga Emergency Aid (AEA) were transferred. They rescued the victim and evacuated her to where the staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) were.
Subsequently, the SUC staff verified that the affected woman had a moderate lower limb trauma, except for complications, for which she was transferred by basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Hospital.
Likewise, firefighters from Valle Gran Rey, Cecopin de La Gomera and Civil Guard agents collaborated in the resolution of the events.
