Agents of the Canarian Police Mobile Brigade have arrested a 38-year-old man in La Laguna, Tenerife, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of attempted illegal detention after, allegedly, trying to force a woman into a vehicle. under 15 years old.
The events took place last Saturday when the agents were carrying out citizen security functions in the aforementioned Tenerife town and were required by a minor, accompanied by her father, who reported that a middle-aged man had tried to force her into a car up to three times.
The minor provided the vehicle’s registration data to the agents, who managed to locate and detain the alleged perpetrator for a crime of attempted illegal detention, the regional government reported in a statement on Monday.
After being identified by the minor, the alleged perpetrator was handed over, together with the open proceedings, to the National Police Corps and was detained pending the ruling of the judicial authority.
