The La Orotava City Council The investment to improve the 13 public schools in the northern municipality has tripled this year. The City Council, through the Municipal Services and Education areas, carries out, for yet another year, the improvement, reform and conditioning works, known as RAM works, in public educational centers.
The actions in each center consist of various repair, maintenance and renovation works of these educational spaces, such as repairing bathrooms, walls and walls; creation of spaces; improved security; leak repair; arrangement of doors and installations; adaptation of pavement of playgrounds and renovation of appliances; change of fences and bars; improved accessibility; adaptation of classrooms … In general, these are improvement and expansion works and, in others, new works, but they are always aimed at offering greater quality, operability and comfort to the educational center. Other actions include the creation of a porch at the La Concepción school, and the adaptation of the Benijos Pavilion.
Mayor, Francisco Linares (CC), underlines that this year the investment for RAM is “tripled”, with a budget of 600,000 euros. The rest of the year a significant investment is also allocated to other maintenance work in these educational centers included in another item, with actions to improve the supply, seneamiento and lighting. Linares assures that “the objective is to meet the demands of the centers themselves, and also to promote the comfort and well-being of the educational community, for a better development of its different functions and activities.”

The performance is carried out in the 13 public schools of the municipality such as: Aguamansa, Santo Tomás de Aquino, Manuel de Falla de Barroso, Víctor Rodríguez de Benijos, Leoncio Estévez Luis de La Florida, San Agustín, La Luz, Inocencio Sosa de San Antonio , Santa Teresa de Jesús and Infanta Elena de La Perdoma, Domínguez Alfonso, La Concepción and Ramón y Cajal.
