The Government of the Canary Islands has authorized this Friday the administrative hiring of the Social and Health Care Service in the Center of Attention to People in a situation of dependency derived from physical disability (CADF) of El Sauzal (Tenerife), through open procedure, by a amount of 4,771,321.42 euros.
In a statement, the general director of the Dependency, Miguel Montero, has assured that This investment will make it possible to unblock the administrative situation in which the center was located.
“The contract ended four years ago and the Government of the Canary Islands had been unable to date to launch the tender. Now we guarantee stability and improve the management of the resource,” he asserted.
After the approval of the administrative hiring in the Governing Council, the El Sauzal center for people with physical disabilities will face an increase in places and staff.
Specific, the day center will grow by 31 percent in the number of places, and it will go from 19 to 25.
Currently, this socio-sanitary resource has capacity for 32 people in a residential regime, 5 in a temporary residential regime and 25 in a day center.
