The National Police have arrested a 40-year-old man, with a police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of threats committed in the neighborhood of La Salud, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The events occurred during the night of July 28, when two neighbors, apparently due to previous differences, got into an argument in the middle of the street.
One of them, after going home, appeared again with a large katana and threatened to kill the other, who fled the scene.
Citizens reported the incident to the National Police, which sent their agents to the scene. The national police officers carried out the necessary procedures to identify these two men. Once they had been identified, one of them handed the agents three katanas. One of them was the one supposedly used to threaten his neighbor.
The agents proceeded to intervene in the weapons and arrest this person, transferring him to the police station together with the seized effects.
From there, once the appropriate report had been made, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority. The actions have been carried out by national police officers from the Prevention and Reaction Unit of the Provincial Police Station of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife National Police.
