29 hikers rescued in the middle of the night after getting disoriented in Las Cañadas del Teide



A large emergency device intervened on Wednesday night in the rescue of a group of 29 hikers who became disoriented in Las Cañadas del Teide. All of them, among which there were several minors, were in good condition, so no referral to a health center was necessary, sources report 112.

The emergency coordinating center received the alert at 22.27 hours. The informant reported that a large group of hikers had left the trail and did not know how to return, in the vicinity of the area known as the Narices del Teide.

From there, the Emergency and Rescue Group, Tenerife Firefighters, the Red Cross, the Civil Guard and Cecopin were mobilized. The emergency teams located the group, gave them instructions to return to the trail, and rescued them without major incidents.
