The Governing Council of Cabildo of Tenerife has approved the administrative clauses to tender the surface rehabilitation of the pavement of the TF-21 insular highway, in the section located between kilometer points 0 and 4,700, passing through the municipalities of La Orotava and Santa Úrsula. For the first vice president and counselor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, the rehabilitation of these four kilometers of the North General Highway is “a priority for the Cabildo.” “It is a very busy island road that, in addition, is the center of commercial activity and that in some of its sections circulate more than 11,000 vehicles.” Arriaga adds that with the jobs, in which 1,944,359 euros will be invested, “The firmness of the road will be superficially improved.” The insular director of Roads, Tomas Félix García, indicates that works are currently being carried out on both highways, starting the burial of the TF-24 as it passes through Padre Anchieta, in addition to different maintenance actions on regional roads.
