The Governing Council of the Cabildo de Tenerife has approved the administrative clauses to tender the surface rehabilitation of the firm of the TF-21 insular highway, in the section located between kilometer points 0 and 4,700, as it passes through the municipal terms of Santa Úrsula and La Orotava.
For the first vice president and counselor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, “the rehabilitation of these four kilometers of the General North Highway is a priority for the Cabildo, it is a very busy island road that, in addition, is the center of commercial activity and that more than 11,000 vehicles circulate in some of its sections “. “With the works, in which 1,944,359.42 euros will be invested, the firm of the road will be superficially improved,” he added.
The insular counselor of Roads indicated that from the area he directs “a great effort is being made to improve mobility on the island. During this year almost one work per week is being tendered, which will allow, in a few months, to circulate with greater comfort and road safety “.
For his part, the insular director of Roads, Tomas Félix García, pointed out that “at present, for example, works are being carried out on both highways, initiating the burial of the TF-24 as it passes through Padre Anchieta. of different maintenance actions on county roads “.
The surface rehabilitation of the TF-21 insular road surface is co-financed by the Insular Administration in the Multi-annual Strategic Framework of Actions for the Development of Tenerife (MEDI, Highways Program) as well as by the Government of the Canary Islands in the Framework of the Fund for Canary Islands Development (FDCAN).
