The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has registered this Wednesday 375 new infections of COVID-19 in Tenerife in the last day, so the number of cases since there are records reaches 39,793. Likewise, 8,700 cases remain active on the island: 51 in the ICU, 320 in the hospital ward and 8,329 in quarantine at home.

Tenerife does not regret deaths from the disease this Wednesday, after a disastrous Tuesday in which five people lost their lives due to the disease: three women of 69, 57 and 56 years old and two men of 56 and 44 years old. This keeps the total number of deaths at 473.
The cumulative incidence at seven days falls in the last day, going from 303 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to 285.37, and in 14 days from 621.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to 608.55.
In total, 869,765 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the island, of which 51,795 have been positive, that is, 5.96%.
