The collision happened in the direction of Santa Cruz. One of the vehicles had collided with a bridge.
The incident took place early yesterday evening. The collision has left four people wounded who were transferred to different health centres in the south of Tenerife.
One of the two cars had crashed into a bridge located in the Municipality of Adeje. All of the passengers needed medical assistance and one had to be rescued from his vehicle.
The Canary Islands Government’s Emergency and Safety Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 received an alert from the local police at 18:22 stating that two vehicles had collided, one of which had hit a bridge and all passengers required medical assistance.
Two women and two men were involved in the accident.
Medical assistance was provided to all passengers at the scene.
One of the men and one of the women had sustained mild injuries and were taken by ambulance to Quirón hospital in Costa Adeje.
The other woman had received head injuries and the man abdominal injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Hospiten Sur.
