Coronavirus latest figures for the Canary Islands

The Coronavirus data for the Canary Islands was updated today at 2.00 pm by the Canary Islands department of health. Here are the latest figures.

10 new cases have been recorded. By Island: 4 recorded in Gran Canaria, 3 in Tenerife, 2 in Lanzarote and 1 in Fuerteventura.

The current total number of active cases has risen to 133. The active number cases as of 2.00 pm today by Island: Tenerife has 86 cases, Gran Canaria 27, Fuerteventura 12 and Lanzarote has 8. The rest of the islands do not have any active cases.

Currently, there are 13 in hospital, 1 in Intensive Care and 119 under home treatment.

So far, 180,215 PCR tests have been performed.

The total overall number of cases in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the pandemic is 2,637. By Island: Tenerife 1,682 cases, Gran Canaria 652, Fuerteventura 113, Lanzarote 92, La Palma 80, La Gomera 8 and El Hierro only 1 case which has remained unchanged.

The total number of recoveries is 2,342 including 5 today.
The total number of deaths in the Canary Islands remains frozen at 162 since the last Covid-19 death in Gran Canaria on the 13th June.
