Francisco Javier Fernández Díaz (Almería, 03/20/1980) has become this Wednesday the new coach of CD Tenerife until June 30, 2021. The new Tenerife coach will land on the Island after accumulating a hundred matches as a technician in the professional category.
Before facing a new experience at LaLiga SmartBank, Fran Fernández led UD Almería and AD Alcorcón in the silver category of Spanish football. He debuted as a coach at LaLiga SmartBank (16/17), training the Almería team twice. The following year he would return to serve as coach of the first Indic team for the last 7 days, to subsequently lead the entire Andalusian team
Fran Fernández will train CD Tenerife after completing the last soccer campaign on the AD Alcorcón bench. The new blue and white coach arrives on the island as technical manager in the 2020/2021 season accompanied by Héctor Berenguel as second coach, Cristóbal Fuentes as physical trainer and José Miguel Marcos as assistant.
The Tenerife technical team will be completed by Zeben Ortiz (goalkeeping coach), Maykol Hernández (physical trainer) and Carlos Rodríguez (analyst).
